Most of us find grey hair peeping our one fine day. For
some people finding grey hair could be quite okay for them and some people it
is thought about what could be the reason to bring this sign of aging. Once a
upon a time grey hair was related to a person’s age and was treated as a sign
of becoming old. Gray’s would be seen for some people during their forties and
for some even later. But today things are quite different. Some people find
their first grey hair during their twenties and thirties and some of them find
it during their teens.
According to the trend you would be lucky if you are
in you thirties and you still do not have a single grey hair. Our hair follicles produces a pigment called the melanin which is
responsible for giving our hair the natural color it has. If our hair follicle
produces more melanin then our hair will be even darker. If the hair follicles
produce less melanin then the color of the hair would be lighter in other words
your hair would turn grey. If the melanin
decreases at very early age then we land up in premature graying of hair.
Cause
of Premature Graying of hair:
There are many reasons why we get premature gray hair. Here
are a few reasons why we get premature grays.
Genetic:
This is one reason which you could hold your parents
responsible and they in turn could blame their parents. It is proved by
scientists that premature graying of hair is mainly a genetic problem. In case your parents had the same experience and had
grays at an early age then there are a lot of chances of you facing the same
problem.
Vitamin B12 Deficiency:
Another main reason for getting premature grey hair is
because of the deficiency of Vitamin B12. If we lack in Vitamin B12 then this would be lead to early graying of hair. Because
of this deficiency grey hair is seen at an early age.
Thyroid and other
Health problems:
If you detected a major sickness or you are suffering
from some health problems for quite some time then there are chances of you
getting premature grey hair. People suffering from thyroid also have the probability of getting grey hair at an
early age.
Lack of Nutrition:
Being fit is nothing but eating healthy and the right
food. What we consume is finally what we notice on our skin, hair and our
health. The correct type of diet will give all the necessary nutrients our body
requires to function. If we are healthy that will show up on our hair and
premature graying would be delayed.
Stress:
Stress is something that is not completely supported by
science. But we all aware that the more we are stressed the chances of getting
early grey hair is more. People who have a stressful life or people who take
unnecessary stress signs of hair graying early are more. These people can start
graying much before the age their hair is supposed to become grey.
Smoking:
If you are a person who is smoking and not yet stopped
smoking, then it high time you thought about it. Researches have
proved that people who smoke have greater chances of getting premature grey
hair than people who do not smoke. Every time we see a new grey it is quite
annoying am I right. But you help it premature graying is genetic or it is
because of health problems. But for the other cause of premature graying you
can surely postpone it but taking care of your health properly and living
happily.
