You can try out a hot oil massage with either coconut, or almond or amla oil. Each of these oils helps to maintain the black color of your hair. You can also use eucalyptus oil. Just add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to oil that is lukewarm and apply this oil mixture to your scalp and massage your scalp in circular motions. Here is a pack with which you can maintain your black and shiny hair just by using this pack twice a month. The quantity mentioned is for hair which is up to the shoulder you can increase the quantity according to the length of your hair.

Ingredients:

½ cup of dry amla powder
½ cup henna powder
2 tbsp. of dry brahmi powder
1 egg beaten
½ cup sour yogurt
½ cup bhringraj powder
Juice of ½ a lemon

Method:

Make some tea decoction or liquor just to mix the henna and the amla powder. Mix all the three ingredients together and keep it overnight. The following day add the other ingredients and mix well. Now apply this mixture on your scalp till end of your hair and leave it on for about 20 to 30 min and then rinse your hair as usual.

Combing Method:


You should always remember that you should never brush your hair forcefully.  In case your hair has knots then you should wide toothed combs. It is better to use paddle brushes for better results.

No Heat:



If you want your hair to remain black in color then do not use hot ironing rods. These rods not only make your hair dry and frizzy they also remove the natural color coating present in the hair.

Growing Hair Long:


Many people think that if a huge amount of their hair is chopped their hair will grow faster, that is not the truth. Even if you just trim your hairs at the end at the salon or at home would be more than enough. If you trim the ends of your hair the split ends would get cut off which will help in maintaining your black hair.

Keratin Treatment: 



If you are a person who cannot stay away from styling gels and tools, then it is better you fix up an appointment at the salon for a Keratin treatment which is quite expensive. You need to do this treatment once in two months at a good salon. This treatment helps to restore the keratin that is lost from your hair and it also maintains the natural hair of your hair.
